Updating Robust Reliability using Markov Chain Simulation

Abstract

A Markov chain simulation method based on the Metropolis-Hastings algorithm and simulated annealing is proposed to update the robust reliability integrals based on a Bayesian statistical approach. It is applied to update the reliability of a structure based on its identified natural frequencies.
