Superplumes or supercontinents?: Comment and Reply (Kent)

Abstract
A map of past subduction locations cannot constrain the depth distribution of slabs and does not imply a continuous curtain of slab. Slabs settle quickly to the base of the system (Ray and Anderson, 1994).
