Conversion of Acid Chlorides to Substituted Acetylenes with Tungsten Alkylidynes

Abstract

Our investigation into the conversion of acid chlorides to substituted acetylenes using tungsten alkylidynes is presented. Several acid chlorides can be converted to acetylenes in good yields, although a more straightforward synthesis of the required tungsten alkylidynes would be desirable.
