Point Sources in the Orion Complex

Abstract
A 667 sq. deg. region in Orion contains thousands of IRAS sources, including stars, embedded sources, galaxies, as well as clumps in more extended emission (cirrus). Two particular types of sources, visible stars with infrared excesses characteristic of T Tauri stars and invisible, cool, embedded objects (L ~25 L_(sun)) are probably related to the formation of low mass stars in Orion.
