On the relation between binary diffusivity and mean free path
Abstract
In problems of diffusion of a vapor species A through a background gas B (e.g., air) the relation between the binary mixture diffusivity, D_(AB), the mean free path, λ_(AB), and the mean thermal speed, c̅_A, is of interest.
