Atomes Muoniques de Samarium

Abstract

We have measured the muonic transitions using separated samples of ¹⁴⁴Sm, ¹⁴⁷Sm, ¹⁴⁸Sm, ¹⁴⁹Sm, ¹⁵⁰Sm, ¹⁵²Sm, ¹⁵⁴Sm. The purpose of this experiment was to study the evolution of nuclear radius and deformation as a function of neutron number in these series ranging from ¹⁴⁴Sm which is nearly spherical through ¹⁵²Sm and ¹⁵⁴Sm which are highly deformed.
